it's not difficult - basically take off the top cambelt cover, and turn the crank pulley bolt until the marks on the cam sprocket and the back of the cambelt cover line up roughly. Now climb under the car and put a 6.75mm pin into the flywheel locking hole - it's below the crank sensor. Wiggle the crank pully bolt until the pin goes all the way in and the crank can no longer be turned.
Now, working in the engine bay, take off the fuel pump belt cover - you'll probably have to remove the airbox for access, and maybe the battery depending on what model. Insert a 9.5mm pin into the hole in the pump sprocket, and if it goes in further than the width of the pulley with a nice sliding fit, all is well. If it doesn't, then poke a slim screwdriver into the hole and see if you can "feel" the hole. If you cant, then remove the crank locking pin and turn the crank a whole turn until the marks line up again, and the pin goes in (this is beacuase the pump turns 180 degrees out of synch with the crank). Now repeat the process with the pump sprocket pin, if it goes in good, if it doesn't and you can find the hole near where it's supposed to be, then it's recoverable.
Undo the four slider bolts on the camshaft sprocket until the sprocket can move in the elongated holes, and then turn the sprocket with a 3/8" ratchet or breaker bar until the pump holes line up and the pin can be inserted. Now apply a torque on the camshaft sprocket until the pin becomes a nice sliding fit, and torque the 4 slider bolts up to 25NM.
