Rover 45 TD turbo boost question
I've just boosted the turbo pressure on my 45 TD by turning the wastegate actuator screw by approx three turns (as per RoverRon's site - thanks Ron!).
The car feels a somewhat livlier, just curious as to how many extra bhp horses you get for three turns - any one tried a before and after on a rolling road in terms of bhp.
What's the maximum number of turns you can boost the turbo by before damage is caused, is there some mechanism that limits the max boost a turbo can supply, presumably three turns will not reach the pressure boost limit if there is one?
I've fitted a K&N filter (panel type) which also seems to give the engine some power boost. Again any one know what this equates to in bhp terms?
