Yes, 'fill for life' oil in the gearbox from the factory.
However, it's a good idea to top up the level just in case there has been a slow progressive loss for some reason. Not a difficult job. I find a funnel with a short length of garden hose helps and avoids spillage. If it needs quite a lot to top up, then investigate the reasons for the loss.
After ten years of ownership, I drained the gearbox oil on my 1990 Montego (PG1 box) as I felt it must certainly need changing. That as before I learned about the 'fill for life' gearbox oil. I did that after 100,000 miles and the oil which came out of that gearbox then was as clean and clear as when it left the production line.
