Automatic Transmission Problem Rover 45 1.8 2001
I had a problem this morning, after driving for less than a mile this morning after a cold start, I applied the brakes to slow down and the yellow warning light for the transmission lit up and gear went back to what i belive first gear (was driving 30M/h Revs went up to 4000RPM Aproximatly), I stopped the Car put into Nutrual and tried again a loud viberating sound came out of the engine the transmission moved 1 2 three then same thing the light lit up. I stopped the car for a while tried again and it didn't happen again, I have been driving for a couple of hours and all things seem well.
1- anyone had similar problem with a 45?
2- in case I need a Garage can anyone suggest a good Garage that deals with auto transmissions in Reading, Wokingham area?
3- what type of Automatic Transmission is in the 45? is it a JATCO? do JATCO transmissions have dip sticks? (mine has) does a JATCO tran's have an Oil Filter that needs changing?
4- how much do Tran's Fluid change usually cost?
