T4 options, Daytime Lights and Headlamp Delay question?

Hi,

My car went for a service today, it has Daytime Running Lights and i asked that the Headlamp,Rearlamp,Numberplate Delay be activated. I soon realised (after the dealer had closed) that the DRL is no longer active.

Can i have both sets of options at the same time? or are they mutually exclusive? - Just so i know for when i phone the dealer in the morning

Cheers

John

Alex, thanks for the tip, i have arranged to pop back to the dealers so we can have some T4 fun

Alexank, for my sins i take mine to Furrows in Shrewsbury, i dont like their prices but its so close its just too convenient. I am interested in finding a decent independant in the Shrewsbury area who can service 75s.

Hi John, recently I used Furrows of Telford and wasn't impressed. I too am looking for a good independent in Shropshire. Has anybody used the garage in Wem recently?

I was quite unimpressed with Furrows. They are expensive and seem to lack quality in the way they go about things, its silly little things really, cars always come back grubby, theres always something that was not done right and they insist that you pick the car up at 5oclock so by the time your off down the road and realise something is wrong/missing they've closed up shop for the day.

This time they messed up the T4 options, oh and having booked the car for a service almost a month ago they forgot to order in the auto gearbox oil which they could only tell me when i went to pick up the car.

You cannot fault them on the general quality of the work but its the little things that are missing, maybe this is common of all main car dealers?

I used to take my 75 to Carnellian in Shrewsbury before they closed and much preferred them. Alexnk mentioned that Xpart have a place in Wem, might be worth trying them out next time.

Smile Why DRL?

Since being hit in broad daylight in the '70's "Didn't see you, mate!", I have always run on 'sides' or when on M'ways, on dips. My motto "see and more importantly - Be Seen". Incidently, I tend to leave my sides on when parking on roads, same reason!
Cheers, Martin.

Makes you more visible, thats about it. As a motorcyclist i learnt that lights on all the time raises your visibility.

Absolutely

Up till recently when we moved to Shropshire I was doing 15,000 a year on a Motorbike, driving around Kent and Essex in rush hour was and is a waste of time by Car

Lights were on all the time

Now that I have three little Boys to cart about my bike is sitting in the Garage unused :-(

Hi, What is rear lamp and number plate delay for? I know of the path way illumination for the headlamps.

Cheers,
JC

i use it to iluninate where you about to stand , or stand in !! or even more basic , you can check the number plates light work every time you go home , as the comuter will only warn you if both number plate lights work , just yet another lazy man tip
